What is 'PDF'?

PDF stands for 'Portable Document Format' and is a way to make documents easy to read and print on any kind of computer (i.e. both PCs and MACs).

PDF was created by Adobe and they offer a FREE program called Acrobat Reader which allows anyone to view PDF documents.

PDF has useful features like linking that allows the reader to easily move around the document, for example, going from the Table of Contents to a particular page with just one click of the mouse.

If you do not have Acrobat Reader, you can get a free copy from Adobe via this link http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
